Home Building Reinvented.
ABOUT UNI-PANELIZED CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS (UPCS)
Oregonized Builders has built the first of its kind, Class III panelized housing technology.
Panelized housing systems were first studied decades ago and later broken into three classes. Class I and Class II are currently available but, until now, the Class III panelized system existed only in theory and thought to be where the greatest innovation would be found.
Uni-Panelized Construction System (UPCS)* is a Class III system consisting of standard and interchangeable panels, whose design integrates panel connections. In addition, no on-site framing is needed as each panel functions as both a structural component and serves as a part of the building's envelope.
Oregonized Builders is located in the Coquille Valley Enterprise Zone in
Oregon, an area with numerous industrial sites that are ready for further development and whose primary industries are lumber and manufacturing.
A full-scale, working prototype UPCS structure is currently available for inspection in Myrtle Point, Oregon.
*US Patent Pending
Current home-building methods are based on concepts of stick-framing that were invented in the 1830s.
Most modular and panelized housing technologies are merely “stick framing” in a factory setting.
The Uni-Panelized Construction System (UPCS) brings home building technology into the 21st century.
